/about
The operational backbone for insurance brokerages.
We started Bob because insurance brokers spend more than half their week on the operational layer of the job — and almost none of that work is the part they trained for. Bob runs the layer; brokers do the broking.
Principles
Six ideas that are non-negotiable.
Every answer cited
Bob doesn't speak unless it can name the fact and the source. No ungrounded inferences, ever.
Row-level isolation, by default
Every read is filtered by tenant ID at the database layer. We test it on every read, not nightly.
Hash-chained, not just logged
Every action — reads, writes, prompts, citations — is a hash-chained row you can query and a regulator can verify.
No black-box AI
Compliance officers query the ledger directly. Every model version is stamped. Every prompt is replayable.
Brokerages, not banks
Bob is built for ~40-seat insurance brokerages. We don't try to be a horizontal AI platform — we go deep on one vertical.
Ship the small thing first
Voice twin shipped before we built the dashboard. The portal shipped before the renewal pipeline. Earn each surface.
Team
Two founders — one from inside the brokerage, one from inside the platform.
Gu Yang
Co-founder · CEO · InsuranceCareer broker. Built and sold a brokerage before Bob. Owns the insurance domain end-to-end — carriers, wordings, FMA regime, claims operations — and runs the design-partner cohort.
Karo Liang
Co-founder · CTO · TechOwns the platform: voice twins, fact store, compliance ledger, RLS infrastructure, the three surfaces. Previously built two prior insurance products and audit tooling for financial services.
Design partners
Six brokerages run Bob in production today.
The design-partner cohort sized between 8 and 240 seats. Each gets a direct Slack line to the team and a price-locked Enterprise plan for two years.

The next twenty insurance brokerages will not be built on spreadsheets.
We’re onboarding ten design-partner brokerages this quarter. If your book is between 1,000 and 12,000 policies, we should talk.
